Why was I charged for my instant exchange?Updated 4 months ago

You will not be charged for any items unless they are not returned within the 21 time frame. But, we do place an authorization on your card for the total amount of the products being returned. This is how we ensure that funds can be captured for items that are kept - it’s just like a hold that hotels or rideshare apps use, and helps protect from fraud.

The way authorizations display on your statement varies by bank. Typically, authorizations are labeled as “pending” OR they will not have a date associated with the charge, indicating that the charge has not yet been posted.

We recommend if you plan to return items for a refund and also exchange items through an instant exchange, that you ship the items back separately to avoid a hold on your card for items that are being returned for a refund.

If you have been charged for your instant exchange order but will still be sending items back or have already placed them in the mail don't worry, you will be refunded for the extra charge as soon as your return is received and processed by our team.
